Case File No. 240 - Deadline: October 31, 2017

We're back with our mid-month challenge, and we've got a sweet new Case File for you! Don't forget, our first October challenge stays open for the whole month too.

So, are you ready for the new challenge? Grab you forensics kits, CSI players, and get ready for some serious sleuthing as we open Major Case File No. 240.

CASE FILE

We're mixing things up in October with the themes for our Case Files. Did you know that October 15th is National Cake Decorating Day? We found a lovely and delicious Scene by English artist Lynn Horrabin. Our journaling prompts give you lots of options, so don't think you have to scrap a birthday.

Remember to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this reveal post for RGB codes, color descriptions, and more detailed explanations of the Evidence and Testimony prompts.

For our Russian players, Detective Anastasia has translated our Case File into Russian:

GUEST DESIGNERS
We're delighted to have Lisa Moen join us as our Special Investigator this month! Lisa's has been playing with us recently, and her work caught our eye.

Hello! My name is Lisa Moen and I have been scrapping for 20 years. My husband Greg and I live in central Wisconsin. We have 2 children- Sierra is a sophmore in college and Austin is a senior in high school. These 3 are the subjects of most of my layouts. Besides scrapping, I enjoy camping, reading and spending time with my family.

I recently starting playing along with the case files here at CSI and enjoy them!

Check out more of Lisa's work on her blog, Lisa's Scrappy Hideaway.

We also have Elena Smoktunova, from Scrapmatts joining us as a Guest Detective.

Under Surveillance - August Case Files

Thank you to everyone who participated in our August challenges. We have chosen our favorite layouts from the August Case Files.

Congratulations to all of our players who are highlighted! You can grab your badges here.

Here are our favorites from Major Case File No. 235. Here's a reminder of the Case File they used:

Tell your story. It's our tagline, and here at CSI, it's one of our missions to get our members to delve deeper into journaling--to document the meaningful bits and pieces that make up our lives. We would like to shine a special spotlight each week on a member who did an exceptional job telling their story. And we'd like to thank Scrapbook Fantasies for donating a wonderful prize to our Star Witness for each Case File.

Gunilla R
We love how Gunilla documented this special day shared with a good friend with such great detail, and her story looks just beautiful typed over that watercolored paper!

Star Witnesses, please send me your mailing address via private message on our CSI Facebook page for your prize.

For each Case File, three of our favorite layouts will be chosen to feature as our "Most Wanted."

Lisa Moen

Debbie Hawke-Wareham

Tracey B

And a few more that caught our eye...

Kate Harbar

Elisabeth Hatlen

And here are our favorites from Case File No. 236. Here's a reminder of the Case File they used:

Gunilla R
We love how Gunilla incorporated her story into the design of her page. She not only put extensive journaling on full display but included additional details of her adventure on the clever banner and tucked more about her story on a tag tucked behind the patterned paper. Gunilla proves how important--and fun--it is to capture the story behind the photo!
